Love (from the Latin word “lubere” meaning “to please”) is a chronic disease that has plagued the human race for centuries. Napoleon Bonaparte, Julius Ceasar, King Henry VIII and even Hitler were victims of this natural phenomenon.
One of the many reasons why the human species is made different from all other creations of God is his capacity to offer, to show, and to fall in Love.
Since the dawn of history, great men and other risen to power or have suffered the angry of despair all because of Love. But that was is the past. In today’s modern world, falling in Love can be classified according to kind. A person can fall in Love with his career with money, with his country, or probably with fame and fortune. As one dicispline of the church opined, the gesture of loving is only meant to be given to a person. And, such nowadays, when we hear the word Love, it would always refer to a special kind of feeling between two individuals. For those who have experienced the privelage of being in love, they would surely say that it was the best thing that ever happened to them especially if the feeling was reciprocated.
There is no such thing as right time or wrong time to fall in love, it is natural feeling that springs from the heart without any instrusion of reservation or fear, because once the heart starts to beat faster that the normal, no doubt, the virus has penetrated the system. No one can safely say that he or she is not yet ready to entertain the feeling as an excuse for loving. Neither can one say that he or she will only fall in love when the need arises or when the readiness for commitment has taken place. Perhaps, we could surely say that when we become affected with it, let us not allow the emotion to get the best of us.
Falling in love is not just a matter to be taken lightly, although everyone is free to take a chance. For those who are naturalist in nature, falling in love is a big responsibility since there is the commitment and it would entail some amount of sacrifice. On the other hand, Romanticist have an opposite view that inspiration and happiness result from getting into it and not otherwise. There is no reason for doubt or fear, only the bright and god side of life is entertained.
Whichever group or individual a person belongs, or whatever perception about love is, one thing is for sure, it is noble feeling that make a man complete. Since the ability of falling in love is a gift from God, let us try to harness the love within ourselves. If time has long been selfish to us in giving us the opportunity to discover the feeling of being loved, then let us be generous enough to be the one to give it and in the long run, it would definitely come back to us in countless denomination.
As the sayings go: Love can move mountains, Love can pave the way of for achievement of world peace and from St. Thomas Acquinas himself- The virtue which is the product of justice is Love we can remain.
The question is, when is the right time to fall in love? The right time to fall in love is now. So thet we can start moving mountain, and so that the peace and justice will finally prevail on this humble world of ours. But above all, Love of God still occupies the Highest level.
